Another tragedy has struck the music industry, as award-winning artist Meat Loaf died on Thursday due to COVID-19, according to the singer’s manager Michael Greene.

The rockstar was already seriously ill and his condition rapidly became critical days before he passed away at the age of 74.

Sources confirmed to TMZ that he was set to take part in a business dinner for a project, however, the dinner was canceled due to his health issues. Greene also mentioned that Meat Loaf’s wife and 2 daughters were with him before he passed on.

Meat Loaf was anti-vaccine mandate, anti-mask, and has railed against vaccine mandates in Australia. Back in August, Meat loaf told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he thinks lockdowns are “political” and that masks are “useless”.

“They don’t do anything. They don’t stop you from getting COVID. They’re just a nuisance and make your nose itch and make it so you can’t breathe.”

“I understood stopping life for a little while, but they cannot continue to stop life because of politics. And right now they’re stopping because of politics,” he stated.

The rocker continued on and said, “We’re being controlled by everybody,” then underscoring, “But not me. If I die, I die, but I’m not going to be controlled.”

It can be recalled that in 1977, Meat loaf released his debut album “Bat Out Of Hell,” then performed in Glasgow’s famed Apollo theatre in 1983. He has appeared in more than 50 films and television shows, and 65 million of his records have been sold worldwide.

He is known for his hit songs “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” “Heaven Can Wait” and “I’d Do Anything for Love.”
