BOOM Esports are the final Southeast Asian representatives to the Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason, 2024 Riyadh! Going against RRQ in an epic Best-Of-Five (BO5) showdown at the STC Play Gaming Hall in Riyadh, BOOM Esports emerged as the one-and-only Filipino representative thanks to the team’s ability to adapt under pressure and aggressive play with the Fang-Dolia combo, resulting in a clean 3-0 sweep.
“We didn’t expect to win, and it’s a great honor to be part of the Esport World Cup. The team has been preparing for five months, and we’re ready to face the world!” stated Miguel “Miggie” Klarenz Banaag.
The players, Miggie, Ajiizix, Dragon, Toshi, and Impressive will be participating in the upcoming Group Stage from 1 August to compete for the lion’s share of USD 3,000,000 in Group B. They will join the ranks of other fellow Southeast Asian representatives, Kagendra(Indonesia), LGD Gaming (Malaysia), Team Secret(Malaysia), Weibo Gaming (Malaysia) and Impunity Esports(Myanmar) to contend for the coveted title.
