Come and See Foundation Aims to Reach One Billion People with The Chosen

The Come and See Foundation, launched in 2022, is on a mission to make “The Chosen” accessible to one billion people worldwide. This nonprofit initiative is dedicated to ensuring that the groundbreaking series, which portrays the life of Jesus, (along with his disciples) through the eyes of those who knew him, reaches audiences in their native languages. 

With its goal of creating an authentic and relatable depiction of Jesus, the foundation partners with the series’ creators to distribute it free of charge globally.

Since its debut, “The Chosen” has achieved remarkable success, with over 420 million episode views. Its success is rooted in its unique approach to Godly, Christian, and faith-based storytelling. Unlike previous portrayals of Jesus, the series focuses not only on his divine nature but also on his humanity, bringing a personal, relatable perspective to the biblical story. 

By showcasing the experiences of Jesus’ disciples and those in his circle, the show allows viewers to connect with the narrative on a deeper emotional level. This authenticity has resonated with audiences worldwide, particularly as the series has become a fan-supported venture, removing financial barriers for viewers.

The Come and See Foundation, led by CEO Stan Jantz, is dedicated to translating and dubbing The Chosen into a wide range of languages. Their goal is to achieve 100 dubbed languages and provide subtitles in 500 more languages. 

This initiative aims to break down language barriers and make the series accessible to people from diverse cultural backgrounds, allowing them to enjoy The Chosen in their native language. Currently, Seasons 1-4 are available in 27 languages with both dubbing and subtitles, and an additional 10 languages have subtitles only.

A significant part of the foundation’s work includes the launch of a dedicated app, which provides free access to episodes from the first two seasons and future installments. Through this app, viewers are allowed to explore exclusive content, such as Bible Roundtables and behind-the-scenes footage.

In partnership with platforms like YouVersion, the foundation is encouraging Bible engagement by linking scenes from “The Chosen” to relevant scripture, making it easier for viewers to explore the Biblical context of the show.

In addition to its translation efforts, the foundation aims to collaborate with global ministries and churches, ensuring that “The Chosen” reaches the most remote corners of the world. 

The partnership with organizations like Prison Fellowship also underscores the series’ potential to facilitate meaningful conversations about faith and redemption, offering a powerful tool for evangelism and spiritual growth in various contexts.

With its innovative approach to faith-based entertainment, the Come and See Foundation is transforming how the story of Jesus is shared globally, making the message of hope and healing accessible to millions, regardless of language or location.
