Jason Momoa Debuts Deo Collab

Jason Momoa has long been known as a warrior on screen, whether as the formidable Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, the fearless Duncan Idaho in Dune, or the heroic Aquaman. Off-screen, however, the actor channels his energy into a different kind of fight—one against plastic pollution. His latest endeavor? A collaboration with Humble Brands to create an aluminum-free, plastic-free natural deodorant that’s as kind to the planet as it is effective.

Momoa has been an outspoken advocate for ocean conservation and sustainability for years. As the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Global Ambassador for Life Below Water, he has continuously used his platform to call attention to the devastating impact of plastic waste on marine ecosystems.

This new deodorant collaboration with Humble Brands aligns perfectly with his mission to reduce plastic consumption and offer eco-friendly alternatives to everyday products.

In speaking about the project, Momoa emphasized the need for sustainable choices in personal care. “So much of our daily routines rely on plastic,” he says. “I found this deodorant years ago that I love; the only thing that could improve it was swapping the plastic-free packaging.”

The result is On the Roam by Jason Momoa, a custom blend crafted in partnership with Humble Brands. The deodorant stands out for its commitment to sustainability, featuring a completely biodegradable paper tube that breaks down naturally within five months.

But it’s not just about the packaging—the formula itself is just as thoughtful. The deodorant is made with only four core ingredients:

  • Corn Starch – Naturally absorbs sweat
  • Baking Soda – Neutralizes odor-causing bacteria
  • MCT Oil – Moisturizes and protects skin
  • Beeswax – Offers anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits

To enhance the sensory experience, the deodorant is infused with a unique scent: Rockrose and Cedar.

For Momoa, this launch isn’t just about offering a better product—it’s about setting a precedent for more sustainable consumer choices. “The amount of plastic that enters our oceans every year has a devastating impact on marine life, and that plastic breaks down into microplastics that can now be found in our water and the food that we eat,” he explains.

In keeping with that ethos, Humble Brands is taking the commitment a step further. For every Rockrose and Cedar Deodorant sold, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Ocean Defenders Alliance (ODA), a nonprofit dedicated to removing plastic waste and man-made debris from oceans around California and Hawaii.

Momoa acknowledges that no single product can solve the environmental crisis, but he firmly believes in the power of small, conscious choices. “I’m not perfect, and I understand that change doesn’t happen overnight,” he says. “But the more we support brands that actually care—brands that take action instead of just talking about it—the faster we push the industry in the right direction.”

His final pitch? “Whether I’m climbing, working, or on set all day, this deodorant keeps me fresh. Give it a shot. Your body—and the planet—will thank you.”
