Day 2 of Manila Fashion Week 2025 continued the momentum at SM Aura Premier with back-to-back showcases from OXGN and Chris Nick, highlighting the rich duality of Filipino design — bold streetwear energy meeting refined couture craftsmanship.

At Samsung Hall, OXGN brought its signature street-luxe aesthetic to the runway with a collection that fused utility, rebellion, and effortless cool. The brand’s play on textures and silhouettes reflected a modern, global sensibility — anchored in Filipino youth culture and individuality.

Later that evening, Chris Nick transformed the Fashion Tent into a scene of sharp sophistication. Known for his powerful take on modern femininity, Chris Nick’s show was a study in structure and sensuality — featuring impeccable tailoring, statement fabrics, and sleek monochromes that defined contemporary Manila glamour.

We sat down with both OXGN and Chris Nick to discuss their inspirations, creative direction, and the experience of showing at Manila Fashion Week.

OXGNChris Nick
What inspired the theme of this collection and why did you choose for it to be your showcased collection for the inaugural season of MNL Fashion Week?
We really want to stick to our roots, and that is streetwear. We’re treating this showcase as our re-introduction that even with so many streetwear brands today, we’re still here and we’re still strong and we’re here to share and really bring forward not just the streetwear aesthetic but also the communities that build it.

It’s essentially inspired by the hedonistic things I love to do— this collection specifically is sex club centric— if you think about it, the different shades of browns represent different skin tones and well the ivory shades, represent — you know. The tuxedo will always be part of my work so this season we have different variations of it mixed into contrasting aspects. I think it’s the perfect way to introduce myself during the inaugural season as it’s polished and put together, elegant yet raunchy and sensual in the most CHRIS NICK way.
What message or feeling do you hope audiences take away from your presentation tonight/today?We want people to feel that no matter how different we are, no matter how our experiences differ, we all share something basic and that is our need to breathe, our need for oxygen. And we hope that people realize that  at the end of the day we all share something together, and we should value that. That sex sells— it has never left the fashion world in my opinion. That CHRIS NICK knows great sex and you should too.

This marks the second day in a landmark four-day celebration of Filipino fashion and creativity.
