It is said that you can consider yourself successful or wealthy if you can travel to any country you want, as long as you are using your own money. Therefore, it is a significant achievement for anyone, especially for ordinary Filipinos, to be able to visit other countries, such as those in the Western side.

Hence, netizens were simply amazed when they learned about the revelation of the personal assistant of celebrity doctor Dra. Vicki Belo, “Millet,” who shared that she experienced going to Paris, France just because her boss asked her to buy her favorite cake.

This can be watched in one of Belo’s vlogs featuring her husband, Hayden Kho, along with Millet and the makeup artist, Marife, with the title “MILAN SHOPPING SPREE FOR MY P.A & M.U.A!”

The couple initiated a challenge for their two staff members, and whoever wins the challenge is given money as a prize. They asked the two staff members about the shortest trip they’ve experienced while working for them since they are always described by Belo as reliable and trustworthy companions. Here, Millet mentioned that she had experienced traveling to Paris to buy the doctor’s favorite cake.

In addition to Paris, Millet also went to Los Angeles, California, USA, within just one day, to take care of errands assigned to her by her boss. The reason for her swift return was because she needed to go back immediately as there were impending airport lockdowns due to the surge in COVID-19 cases.

However, Belo clarified that the expenses for these trips were covered using accumulated airline miles points.

“Libre po ‘yong ticket, hindi naman ako gano’n ka-spoiled,” Belo said. “Pag naglilhi na ako, na hindi naman buntis, ng Jean Paul Hevin na napaka-favorite ko, sasabihin ko ‘Millet, pumunta ka naman Paris bili ka ng cake,'”she added.

Hayden Kho, her husband, is also “guilty” in this matter. According to them, whenever he commits a “fault” against his wife, he instructs Millet to go to another country to buy a cake for his wife as a peace offering. Therefore, for Millet and Belo’s makeup artist, Marife, their favorite part of their job is when their boss goes on travels.

The two staff members became emotional, revealing that they have been serving the couple for a long time, and their lives have truly changed because of the couple’s generosity. They shared that they were able to finish their studies and acquire properties through their service. Vicki and Hayden consider them like family, and they reciprocate the genuine service the two provide.

That’s why many netizens commented that it must be delightful to have the couple as employers or friends. Many netizens were also inspired, expressing their hope to achieve success in life similar to the doctor couple.

They added that they hope all employers in the Philippines would be like the couple, treating their staff with humanity and considering them as part of the family.
