Paulina Porizkova Makes Her Return to Estée Lauder

Paulina Porizkova is back with Estée Lauder, but this time as a Global Brand Ambassador—a title that carries a different weight and meaning than her previous role as a spokesmodel in the ‘80s. Her return to the iconic beauty brand is much more than just a career milestone; it’s a powerful statement about aging, self-worth, and the evolving narrative of beauty.

In an exclusive interview, Porizkova shares her excitement about this new partnership. Having been a face of Estée Lauder from 1988 to 1995, she became one of the most celebrated supermodels of her generation. Now, as she approaches her 60th birthday, she is using her platform to advocate for women of all ages, particularly in her mission to break down the barriers of ageism that often permeate the beauty industry.

“Estée Lauder approached me to work with them again not despite my values, but because of them,” Porizkova declares. This is more than just a modeling contract for her; it’s a chance to use her voice for positive change. Unlike her earlier days with the brand, when her beauty was seen through the lens of youth, this time she is being celebrated for her authenticity and her advocacy for aging with grace.

In her new role, Porizkova will represent not just the brand’s skincare, makeup, and fragrance lines but also its evolving approach to beauty. As she notes, “I’m not putting out beautiful images of how photogenic I am. I’ve been very open and honest about aging… We are still as worthy, absolutely, just in a different way.”

For Porizkova, language matters, especially when it comes to product marketing. She’s clear about her stance: she won’t associate herself with “anti-aging” products, advocating instead for products that help people feel their best at any age. This alignment of values is a major reason she chose to return to Estée Lauder. In fact, during her initial meeting with the Estée Lauder team, she was adamant about this philosophy. “Number one, I will not do anti-aging anything,” she told them. “If you need that, I’m walking out right now.” To her delight, they responded by affirming that her values were exactly why they approached her.

Her first campaign as Global Brand Ambassador will debut in Spring 2025, marking a new chapter in both her career and Estée Lauder’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity. As Porizkova takes on this exciting role, she continues to champion women everywhere, showing that with age comes not just wisdom but the power to redefine beauty on one’s own terms.

With this return to Estée Lauder, Porizkova is not just selling a product; she is continuing her legacy of advocating for women to feel confident and celebrated at every stage of life. Through her authentic approach and her unwavering commitment to her values, she is shaping the future of beauty—one that embraces aging as a strength rather than something to be feared or reversed.
