GUANGZHOU, China, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Fosun Health has become the first cross-border international healthcare group to exhibit at the Canton Fair in its 70-year history, debuting at the event’s inaugural International Healthcare Zone alongside four Greater Bay Area (GBA) hospitals, including Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital.

The new zone marks a wider shift: the Canton Fair, long a showcase for Chinese goods, is now opening its doors to trade in services, with Guangdong’s 25 designated international medical pilot hospitals leading the way. Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital, one of the first hospitals selected for the provincial pilot, used the fair to show how Chinese hospitals are winning over international patients through cutting-edge technology and care that respects cultural difference.

At the Fosun Health booth, Fosun Health introduced an interactive healthcare experience featuring Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), smart health monitoring, rehabilitation therapies, and health screening consultations, offering international visitors a firsthand experience of Chinese healthcare.

The hospital’s International Medical Center (FIMC), a standalone 20,000-square-meter facility with 100 beds, runs a “general practice plus specialty” dual-physician model that covers outpatient care, inpatient treatment, health screening and rehabilitation in one seamless loop.

He noted that GBA hospitals are equipped with sixth-generation CyberKnife, da Vinci surgical systems and orthopedic robots, while the Hong Kong and Macao Medicine and Device Connect policy has cleared more than 100 approvals for innovative drugs and devices. To date, Fosun Health’s four GBA hospitals have served over 50,000 international patient visits from 140 countries and regions.

Equipped with advanced technologies including the CyberKnife, da Vinci Surgical System, and orthopedic surgical robots, the hospitals offer specialized expertise in oncology, orthopedics, and cardiovascular care.

Beyond attracting international patients to China, Fosun Health is expanding its global healthcare presence through partnerships, medical training, and cross-border collaboration.

It has set up overseas offices, and in August 2026 signed a strategic agreement with Indonesia’s Vasanta Group to develop two premium private hospitals in Jakarta.
