On Wednesday, December 6, the prestigious magazine announced that the singer of “Karma” has been named the 2023 Person of the Year, making her the first woman to achieve this recognition twice since the series’ inception in 1927. In her Instagram posts, Swift expressed gratitude for the recognition she received from the prestigious magazine.

“Time Magazine: We’d like to name you Person of the Yea-” “Me: Can I bring my cat,” she captioned. Another one, “The biggest, loudest, most aggressively over-excited thank you to @time for naming me Person of the Year.”

In the midst of her touring schedule, Swift unveiled “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” a reimagined recording of her Grammy-winning album “1989.” 

This re-recording forms a crucial aspect of the singer’s endeavor to reclaim control over her six-album catalog, which she lost when the renowned music manager Scooter Braun acquired—and later sold—her record label, Big Machine.
