Fans of Juliever — the monicker for Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz’ love team — definitely got more than their money’s worth as the Kapuso prime stars finally professed their love for each other live at the Newport Performing Arts theater.

“Naalala mo nung birthday mo di ba? Sinabi ko naman sa’yo kung ano’ng nararamdaman ko,” Rayver began his confession as he held to Julie Anne’s hand tightly. He then proceeded to tell her that he wants the audience to hear the same thing. “Julie Anne San Jose, I love you,” he said with conviction as he stared into her face.

Asia’s Limitless Star looked so giddy after this that she turned her face away for a bit while grinning from end to end. After regaining her composure, she stared him right in the eye and told him how thankful she was that he came into her life: “Andami nang nagbago sa buhay ko simula nang dumating ka.” After saying this, she heaved a sigh and turned away again, with her face redenning with shyness that one can actually see it from the back of the theater.

Julie managed to face Rayver again and said “I love you too, too.” They then hugged each other tight and Rayver kissed Julie.

“Para akong nababaliw sa pagkamiss ko sa kanya kahit kasama siya sa US,” Rayver said in his video interview shown during the concert. Julie called him her male version and emphasized that he is a really good person. “Ang hirap ibreak ng taong may mabuting puso,” she said.

As early as their opening remarks after they danced to the tune of ‘Cardboard Box’, Juliever said things to each other that would make a person wish he or she brought a date to the concert. “Never kitang sasaktan,” said Rayver to Julie. The ‘Maria Clara and Ibarra’ star then exclaimed, “Nakakarupok talaga ‘pag nakakita ka ng guy na nag-gi-guitar like Rayver.”

Other highlights of the concert aside from that romantic moment are their Neocolours Medley duet, Julie Anne’s performance of Beyonce’s songs ‘XO’ and ‘Break My Soul’, and Rayver’s killer moves grooving to R. Kelly’s ‘Ignition’.

Mavline — the name of Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara’s tandem — were the special guests for Julieverse. They had song numbers together as well as dance showdowns.

A fitting end to the concert is Juliever’s duet of ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ by Alicia Keys.

In a world full of change, Julie and Rayver are each other’s constant and one can definitely feel the sincerity in those words during the concert held last November 26.
