Needless to say that motivation is needed in order for an individual to achieve their goals, but how do you keep pushing forward when your heart isn’t in it? Fret not. We’ve gathered nine Bible verses to give you a little drive so you can feel inspired to work hard again!
PROVERBS 12:11
Prioritize your work. If you follow this, you will reap what you sow in the end. If one does not make an effort, he will end up with nothing. So don’t waste your time doing unnecessary things.
GENESIS 2:15
God knew what He was doing all this time. He created you for a reason and gave you the skills that you have. So be wise and make use of the talents the Lord has given you.
COLOSSIANS 3:23
Love what you do. Always put your heart and soul into your work. Try not to let external factors distract you, especially when this gets tough. Remember, we are not just doing this for ourselves because we are also serving the Lord.
MATTHEW 5:16
Apart from working hard, one must remain good and holy in the process. The manner in which you work is just as important as the outcome. Bare in mind that God is keeping an eye on you.
PSALM 127:2
When we get caught up grinding everyday, we tend to forget about God. This shouldn’t be the case. We must surrender and submit to Him because we can’t do everything on our own. The Lord has the last call, and He can, literally, move mountains for you if He wanted to.
JOHN 6:27
As much as you value your work, try not get so caught up with all the superficial things in life. Prioritize the more important things such as God, serving your church, caring for your loved ones, and doing good deeds.
PROVERBS 13:4
If someone gets too comfortable and lazy, nothing will ever come out of this. However, if a person strives to make something out of himself, everything will pay off in the end, eventually.
2 TIMOTHY 2:6
If a person is doing their part, rest assured that God will reward you for your hard work. He will bless you with more than what you asked for if you keep going and not give up, especially if we have endured all the struggles and hardships along the way.
PROVERBS 16:3
Trust in the Lord. Never think that you can carry on without Him. You can only do so much. No matter how hard you work, He has the final say in everything. This verse also refers to the actions you do as a whole.
