The LEGO^® Group has officially launched LEGO Friends: Heartlake The Musical, the franchise’s first-ever live-action adaptation, which premiered for free globally on October 16 on the LEGO Group’s official YouTube channel.

The 50-minute musical is produced by acclaimed director and executive producer Kenny Ortega, (known for his work on the High School Musical franchise and The Cheetah Girls ), Jill Wilfert of LEGO Entertainment, and Michael McKenna and Hanah Draper of Final Pixel. Joining them to direct and choreograph is filmmaker Paul Becker who is known for his work on massive hits like The Last of Us and Descendants.

The story follows Daisy, a creative teenager who, after moving to a new town, escapes her loneliness by building a detailed LEGO Friends world in her bedroom — only to be whisked into the vibrant world of Heartlake City where she embarks on a music-filled journey with new friends. Packed with four original songs written exclusively for the musical, and spectacular performances,  the special brings beloved LEGO Friends characters from brick to screen like never before.
