Math Nuggets is excited to announce its rebranding as a comprehensive tuition provider, The Nuggets Academy. This strategic shift expands the academic offering to include Science Nuggets and English Nuggets, aiming to support students with a well-rounded, proven methodology  — bite-sized learning, structured revision, and supportive classroom environments, across all subjects.

The rebrand is based on increasing demand from parents and students for additional subject support. With Math classes at full capacity and consistent requests to expand English and Science were introduced as natural next steps, aligning with the Academy’s core approach and areas where students often need extra help.

The Nuggets Academy (formerly Math Nuggets) was founded by Sandra Lim, an educator with over 20 years of experience. The centre has supported more than 1000 students through its loop-based, concept-focused teaching approach. Sandra remains actively involved in teacher training and curriculum development to maintain consistency across all subjects.

The Nuggets Academy is launching its Holiday Bootcamp to provide a meaningful, high-impact learning experience during the school break. The sessions are designed for P5 and P6 students and focus on sharpening core skills in Math, Science, and English Creative Writing.

The Holiday Bootcamp covers essential Math topics like Fractions, Ratios, Whole Numbers, Percentages, and Averages, alongside key problem-solving strategies such as More Than/Less Than, Repeated Identity, Gaps & Differences, LCM Method, and Working Backwards. 

Science sessions focus on Systems (Plant Transport, Respiratory, Circulatory) and Interactions (Forces, Food Webs, Living Together), with emphasis on structured techniques for tackling open-ended questions. They also revisit foundational topics—including Human Body Systems, Systems in Plants, Cycles, and Energy.

English Creative Writing classes cover story planning, building rising action, and writing strong introductions and conclusions. Students will also learn narrative techniques such as “Show, Not Tell,” sensory writing, effective pacing, and sentence variety to enhance their storytelling skills.

The Nuggets Academy’s Holiday Bootcamp will run throughout June 2025, with multiple sessions tailored for Primary 5 and Primary 6 students across Math, Science, and English. The Math Mid-Year Intensive Bootcamp for P5 will be held in two runs: 2-4 June and 16-18 June, both from 10 AM to 1 PM. The P6 also has two sessions, scheduled for 9-11 June and 23-25 June, during the same time slot.

For the Mid-Year Science Intensive Bootcamp will take place on 9-11 June for the P6 and 16-18 June for the P5, while students looking to strengthen their English composition skills, can join the P5 & P6 Creative Writing Bootcamp on either 5-6 June or 19-20 June, all running from 10 AM – 1 PM.

Parents are encouraged to register early, as spaces are limited and the registration deadline is one week before each run or when the seats are fully booked.

All Holiday Bootcamp sessions will be conducted in person at Blk 620 Hougang Ave 8, #01-274, Singapore 530620. To ensure a high-quality, focused learning experience, each class is capped at a maximum of 12 students, allowing for personalised attention and support from teachers.
