Ricci Rivero’s name made rounds on social media when news broke that he and Andrea Brillantes have parted ways. 

The athlete took to social media on Friday morning and addressed the alleged breakup and cheating accusations being thrown at him, without mentioning the Kadenang Ginto star’s name.

“I own up to the mistake of not making my relationship status public because I felt there’s no need to add up to what were going through. Please respect our decision to keep it to ourselves so that we can preserve whats left of our friendship. I hope let’s stop creating your own…”

“I am sorry for whatever disappoinment it may have caused you — for everyone’s peace of mind, please allow ourselves to heal and move on peacefully without hate and pain,” he stated.

Ricci went on and added, “I hope let’s stop creating your own versions and dragging other characters into these false accusations. I am sorry for whatever disappoinments it may have caused you.”

Netizens couldn’t help but speculate that beauty queen turned municipal councilor Leren Mae Bautista allegedly caused the break up, after Ricci was seen in her Instagram story. 

He was also spotted giving away food packs with the politician in Los Bañoson on his birthday. Meanwhile, Andrea has yet to comment on the issue.
