Andrea Brillantes, born Anndrew Blythe Daguio Gorostiza on March 12, 2003, started her career at a young age. She made her first mark in the industry when she joined the reality show “Goin’ Bulilit” in 2010.  Her natural charm and acting prowess quickly caught the attention of viewers, laying the foundation for her future success.

She subsequently featured in the ABS-CBN drama series “Alyna” in 2010, portraying the character Sofia Alvaro, a young girl identified as the lost daughter of Alyna (Shaina Magdayao).

In 2012, she took on the role of Princess in “E-Boy,” a boyish girl with a strong belief in fairy tales. Additionally, she made guest appearances on “Wansapanataym” and other programs aired on Kapamilya Network.

Breakthrough Role – Annaliza:

In 2013, Brillantes took on the challenging role of Annaliza Querubin in the remake of the classic television series “Annaliza.” Portraying a young girl facing various adversities, including family conflicts and abuse, Andrea showcased her ability to convey complex emotions convincingly.

Her outstanding performance earned her critical acclaim and established her as a rising star in Philippine showbiz. The show debuted on May 27, 2013, and ended on March 21, 2014. She won “Best Child Performer” for both 27th and 28th PMPC Star Awards for TV.

After “Annaliza,” Andrea continued to take on diverse roles in various teleseryes, showcasing her versatility as an actress.

She became a staple in ABS-CBN’s primetime lineup, starring in hit series such as “Hawak-Kamay” in 2014 and “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” in 2015. She played the role of “Lia Buenavista,” the sister of “Angelo Buenavista” played by Daniel Padilla.

One of the highlights of Andrea Brillantes’ career is her role as Margaret “Marga” Mondragon in the hit afternoon series “Kadenang Ginto.” The show, which revolved around family conflicts, love, and rivalry, became a massive success.

Brillantes’ portrayal of the feisty and determined Marga earned her widespread acclaim and numerous awards, including the Best Drama Supporting Actress at the PMPC Star Awards for Television and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 4th GEM Awards.

Rapidly gaining popularity, Marga became a household name sensation and even served as the inspiration for numerous memes. The show’s tremendous triumph paved the way for the creation of the Gold Squad, comprising Brillantes, her love team partner Seth Fedelin, and fellow lead stars Francine Diaz and Kyle Echarri.

In 2022, Andrea and Seth Fedelin collaborated in “Lyric and Beat,” iWantTFC’s inaugural original light musical drama series set to enthrall audiences with its melody and rhythm, premiered on August 10, 2022.

Crafted and directed by Dolly Dulu, the creative force behind cinematic successes like “The Boy Foretold by the Stars” and “Love Beneath the Stars,” “Lyric and Beat” draws inspiration from her theatrical background and familiarity with TV musicals such as “High School Musical” and “Camp Rock.”

It kicks off with the tale of Lyric (Andrea), a determined teenager aspiring to become a renowned singer, following in the footsteps of her late mother.

Upon securing a scholarship at the esteemed Philippine National Conservatory of Music (PNCM), a renowned institution for nurturing the nation’s top-tier vocal talents, Lyric faces the condition of joining a show choir and clinching victory in the upcoming national competition to maintain her enrollment—a pact she made with her father, Jeff (Lito Pimentel).

Despite Jeff’s desire for Lyric to pursue a more financially stable profession, steering away from the uncertainties of a singing career, Lyric successfully persuaded him to allow her admission to PNCM under their agreed terms.

As Lyric immerses herself in the PNCM environment, she encounters a diverse array of students, each harboring aspirations of turning their loftiest dreams into reality.

In 2023, Andrea gracefully captivates audiences in iWantTFC’s Pride Month presentation, “Drag You and Me” this 2023, a contemporary family rom-com drama delving into the vibrant world of drag culture while celebrating love in all its diverse forms. Sharing the spotlight with Brillantes are JC Alcantara and Christian Bables.

Scheduled to stream starting June 2, this latest iWantTFC original series puts a spotlight on self-expression and the profound sense of belonging found within one’s chosen family. Adding authenticity to the narrative, real-life drag queens Brigiding, Viñas Deluxe, Xilhouete, and Precious Paula Nicole will contribute their talents to bring this colorful story to life.

At the core of “Drag You and Me” is the story of Betty (Andrea), a fearless and fabulous individual who, under her drag persona ‘Valentine Royale,’ navigates life as a cisgender woman and serves as the ultimate ally to the LGBTQIA+ community.

The series in Primetime Bida showcases Andrea in the dual roles of “Luna” and “Sky,” identical twins whose lives intertwine in the pursuit of uncovering the mysterious circumstances surrounding Luna’s tragic demise within their school building.

Andrea’s exceptional acting prowess shines as she skillfully delineates the distinct personalities of Luna and Sky, adding layers of complexity to the narrative. As Sky delves into the investigation of her sister’s untimely death, the series unfolds a gripping tale of suspense, secrets, and the profound bond between siblings.

Andrea’s ability to convey the emotional nuances of each character elevates the storytelling, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats as the twins navigate the intricate web of relationships and mysteries within the school’s walls.

“Senior High” becomes a compelling exploration of grief, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of truth, with Andrea at the heart of this intriguing and emotionally charged storyline. The series not only delves into the academic pressures faced by students but also addresses the emotional and social aspects of their lives.

Andrea’s portrayal brings depth and authenticity to the narrative, capturing the essence of the teenage experience. With its compelling storyline and Andrea Brillantes’ compelling performance, “Senior High” is a must-watch, offering both entertainment and valuable insights into the transformative years of youth.

She was also part of the movie “Crazy Beautiful You” top billed by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, popularly known as “KathNiel” in 2015.

Beyond her acting talent, Andrea Brillantes has also become a prominent figure in the world of endorsements and social media. With millions of followers on platforms like Instagram, she has built a strong online presence, collaborating with various brands and solidifying her status as a style icon for the younger generation.
