Angel Studios has once again proven its dedication to faith– and family-friendly entertainment by partnering with renowned animator Butch Hartman for the upcoming release, The Christmas King! A Garden Cartoon Holiday Movie. Scheduled to debut on Angel platforms on December 11, this animated feature promises to deliver both heartwarming fun and meaningful messages for children and families this holiday season.

The story centers on Lenny the Lion and Lucy the Lamb, two charming characters from the beloved “Garden Cartoon” series. When they discover the first snowflake of Christmas, they embark on a race against time to deliver it to The Christmas King before it melts. The adventure is filled with laughter, excitement, and valuable lessons about friendship, responsibility, and the true spirit of giving. As the synopsis notes, “Along the way, they discover that the best gift is friendship,” a theme that will resonate with viewers of all ages.

Hartman, widely recognized for creating the iconic series The Fairly OddParents, brings his signature storytelling style to this project. He not only created, directed, and executive produced the film, but also wrote all of its original songs. The movie features a talented voice cast, including Matt Lanter as The Christmas King, James Arnold Taylor, Cristina M. Medina, Brian Stivale, and Hillary Phillips, ensuring that each character comes to life with humor, warmth, and energy.

The film’s creative team includes Ramiro Olmos as creative director, with Nick Kalmar and Stephen Picher serving as co-directors. Taylor Bradbury produces, supported by executive producers Butch and Julieann Hartman. Garden Productions and Butch Hartman Studios collaborated closely to ensure that the animation is vibrant, engaging, and visually appealing while maintaining a wholesome, family-friendly tone.

David Fischer, Angel’s Director of Acquisitions and Business Affairs, praised the collaboration, saying, “Butch and his team consistently create exceptional stories that families can enjoy together. My wife and I are always on the hunt for quality projects that not only entertain, but instill positive values. The Christmas King! is a perfect way for families to come together and celebrate the Christmas season.” Hartman echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the shared mission between his studio and Angel to provide safe programming that sparks imagination and enriches the lives of children and families.

The film is an extension of the Garden Cartoon universe, which has been celebrated for its focus on positive values, humor, and creative storytelling. Butch Hartman Studios continues to expand its portfolio with projects such as Little Harps, a preschool series about a guardian angel school, Dragon Drive-Thru, which follows dragons running a medieval fast-food stand, and Family Fusion, a story about two super-science families living side by side. Each of these projects carries the same commitment to inspiring young audiences and entertaining families without compromising wholesome content.
