The gospel music world is buzzing with excitement as BeBe and CeCe Winans, the legendary brother-sister duo, prepare to reunite and co-host the 40th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. This highly anticipated event, taking place on August 16, 2025, at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, marks a significant milestone both for the iconic siblings and for the awards show itself.

BeBe and CeCe’s journey began in 1982 as the “PTL singers” on the Christian program “Praise the Lord.” Since then, the Winans siblings have built an illustrious career marked by groundbreaking albums, unforgettable performances, and numerous accolades.

Their music seamlessly blends gospel, R&B, and soul, creating a sound that has touched millions of lives worldwide. Their impact is underscored by multiple Grammy Awards, Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, and NAACP Image Awards.

When asked about their decision to reunite for the Stellar Awards, CeCe revealed it took some convincing. “I kind of dragged him in,” she laughed, reflecting on how the event’s founder, Don Jackson, persistently invited them. “It’s been 40 years… And so that’s why we just said yes because God has been good to us. You couldn’t have made this up any better.” BeBe added, “People need to see and hear good news… It was an easy yes because people need encouragement and hope.”

While fans have long hoped for a full album or tour reunion, the siblings have clarified that, for now, their collaboration is focused on hosting and performing together at the Stellar Awards night. “We’re just hosting right now… We’ll do something together that night. But that’s all that’s in the plans and the works right now,” CeCe explained. Even so, the mere prospect of seeing them back on stage together has sparked immense anticipation and joy among gospel music enthusiasts.

Their history with the Stellar Awards runs deep. BeBe recalled fond memories of the inaugural show, where his brothers helped bring the awards to life. “There are a lot of great memories… just watching its birth and now we’re 40 years down the road.” CeCe chimed in with her trademark humor about the old footage, “A lot of hairdos that I don’t know what I was thinking about at the time.”

Preparation for this special evening, according to the Winans duo, is more spiritual than technical. BeBe described it as “getting on a bike again,” emphasizing the need to rely on faith rather than just talent or voice. “There’s no fear that you would have 40 years ago,” he said, highlighting the confidence that comes from faith and experience. CeCe echoed this, noting that prayer and mental readiness are central to their approach.

The 40th Stellar Gospel Music Awards promises to be a night filled with celebration, worship, and an uplifting sense of community. CeCe hopes the event will be “a night of family celebrating, worshiping our God, and all of us really understanding how blessed we are.” BeBe envisions it as a platform that will encourage and expose new talent, reminding everyone that gospel music is vibrant and alive.

As one of the top nominees this year, CeCe’s presence will shine not only as a host but as a celebrated artist. Alongside BeBe, they will welcome a host of other gospel luminaries, making this anniversary show a true testament to the genre’s enduring power and inspiration.
