SB19 member and The Voice Generations coach Stell Ajero made waves not only at the Smart Araneta Coliseum after his breathtaking performance at the “Hitman David Foster and Friends Asia Tour 2024” concert this Tuesday, June 18, but also on the social media platform X.

Apart from his opening performance and rendition of his latest solo debut single “Room” and “Defying Gravity,” his rendition of “All By Myself” received thunderous applause and cheers that reverberated throughout Araneta.

Stell received high praise from A’Tin, SB19’s fans, for his distinctive voice and wide vocal range. Fans even joked that he “stole” the spotlight from David’s show. Even David Foster himself expressed his adoration towards Stell and described him as “incredible.”

Due to this, comparisons couldn’t help but be drawn to the standing ovation performance of Charice Pempengco.

Netizens couldn’t help but revisit some clips of Charice’s past performances at David’s concert. They remarked how they miss Charice’s performances, especially since David was truly amazed by her, calling her the “most talented girl in the world.”

However, for most people, the two are “incomparable” because Charice’s female version is excellent, and Stell’s male version of the mentioned song is also outstanding.

Comments from fans include:

“This might be the performance that matches Charice’s talent in that concert.”

“I really miss Charice!”

“Alright, alright… Charice is the female version (when Jake was still female), and Stell is the male version. The best versions!”

“We can’t do anything but revisit Charice’s clips. But I must say, Stell’s performance matches that iconic talent.”

“After Charice’s iconic rendition of ‘All By Myself,’ yours is my next favorite. You really did an amazing job! Absolutely incredible! 🙌”

In his post on X, Stell expressed his gratitude for the positive feedback he received for his performance.

“Thank you Lord, the best ka po talaga. 😭,” he said.

This is another milestone for Stell because he just surprised his fans by announcing his solo debut album in a 29-second teaser video, showing him crossing the street and entering a place called “ROOM.”

Stell’s journey to fame began when he became a member of SB19, the first Filipino idol group trained under the Korean entertainment company ShowBT. The group’s name, SB19, stands for “Sound Break,” signifying their aim to break into the global music industry with their distinct sound.

Stell’s passion for music and performance was evident from a young age. He honed his skills in singing and dancing, eventually becoming known for his exceptional vocal range and stage presence. His talent was further nurtured during SB19’s rigorous training period, which included intensive lessons in singing, dancing, and overall performance.

In 2016, Stell and his fellow SB19 members underwent extensive training under ShowBT’s guidance, preparing for their official debut. Their dedication paid off when they released their debut single “Tilaluha” in 2018. However, it was their 2019 hit single “Go Up” that propelled them to fame, earning them widespread recognition and a strong fanbase called A’TIN.

As SB19’s main vocalist, Stell has been instrumental in the group’s success. His powerful and emotive voice, along with his effortless ability to hit high notes, has garnered admiration from fans and music critics alike.
