The Brisbane Festival will definitely make impossible things possible for 23 days in a city-wide celebration of arts, culture, and live performance from September to October.

From world-premiere theater and dance, family fun and free community gatherings to late night cabaret and live music, everyone is invited to connect, have fun, and celebrate through a series of festivities and shows coming up.

From September 1 to October 1, expect to have the “Tastes of Moreton Bay Festival.” You can satisfy your taste buds with culinary delights, come together with the picturesque landscapes of the extremely impressive Moreton Bay Region as your scenery. Farmers and producers collide with impressive and skillful chefs to bring appetizing food and cuisines through your stomach.

From September 1 to September 23, enjoy soundtripping because of a jam-packed month of music from Australia’s leading international arts festival. You can enjoy jamming with riverside music festivals,  international and Aussie dancefloor legends and disc jockeys.

For visual artists, you can check out “Patterns for Future Living” at Gallery 1 & 2, that will allow you to bring together DIY (do-it-yourself) aesthetics with a DIT (do-it-together) ethos, from September 1 to 23, at Metro Arts.

Remember these dates: September 16 to October 1 (but no show on 17th, 24 and 25th) for a fantastic performance of “BANANALAND”  at Playhouse, QPAC. It will feature a knockout score by Kate Miller-Heidke and her collaborator Keir Nuttall – the award-winning songwriting team behind Muriel’s Wedding the Musical and multiple platinum-selling albums.

Brisbane will be lit up by “Lightscape” until October 8 (no viewings on September 22, September 27 and October 8) at Botanic Gardens, and be ready to feel your senses through light, colour and sounds.

In relation to this, award-winning music band Culture Club will play Brisbane on its Greatest Hits Tour celebrating 40 years of music. They will bring you back to the 80s by playing their hits like “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me,” “Time (Clock of the Heart),” and “Karma Chameleon.” This will happen on September 14.

Check out Queensland Theatre on September 20 to 23 for the Undercover Artist Festival that will showcase the talents and skills of artists with disabilities, and will give them spotlight to perform.

Good news for food and wine lovers! From October 27 to 29, they can visit the “Good Food & Wine Show” and chat with winemakers and distillers, know how to create a wine recipe, and be inspired by award-winning and prominent chefs as they demonstrate delicious recipes. The venue will be at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

And to complete the festivity, watch out for Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF) from October 26 to November 5 at cinemas and venues across Brisbane. The said film festival is welcoming more than 600,000 visitors, encouraging movie lovers and enthusiasts to come together and watch world-class Australian and independent films.
