Renowned host Boy Abunda trended on social media after delivering his question at the Binibining Pilipinas event on Sunday. It can be recalled that he was a celebrity guest panelist who was picked by Binibini No. 15 candidate Karen Laurrie Mendoza from Iloilo.

During the Q&A portion, Boy Abunda asked Karen: “When it is okay not to be okay and when is it not okay to be not okay?”

She then replied, “You know, sometimes, it’s hard to move on especially that if we lost our loved ones, when we’re depressed when we have anxiety, but most of all, when we want to move forward in life. You know, my favorite saying in a movie Disney, ‘Inside Out,’ is embrace your sadness because in embracing your sadness you will feel happiness afterwards.”

Netizens went wild online and stressed that Abunda’s question was quite difficult.

One said, “A difficult question for Bb. Iloilo. Though it wasn’t the best answer, she still handled it with grace.”

Another stated, “Boy Abunda’s question is so tricky. Ang hirap sagutin ‘yun with 30 seconds.”

A comment also wrote, “The question he gave was very tough. But Bb. Iloilo played safe and answering it. Nailed it.”

Although, it is important to note that the contestants attended a question and answer workshop with Abunda days before the coronation night. Boy Abunda is one of the most sought-out and notable hosts in the country.
