The world of creativity and design just entered a bold new era. At the recently concluded Canva Asia-Pacific Press Summit, the global design platform officially unveiled its next chapter — the Creative Operating System, marking its biggest product launch to date. With this milestone, Canva continues to redefine how individuals, teams, and enterprises bring ideas to life, blending over a decade of innovation with cutting-edge artificial intelligence.

This new chapter introduces a seamless ecosystem designed to unify every aspect of the creative process. The upgraded Visual Suite now features a collection of transformative tools, each crafted to simplify workflows and spark creativity. Among these are Forms, allowing users to design interactive RSVP pages, contact forms, and waiting lists directly within Canva; Email, a dynamic drag-and-drop editor for crafting and exporting polished marketing emails; and Code x Sheets, which links Canva Code creations with Canva Sheets, enabling real-time data integration into visual projects.

Another major highlight is Video 2.0, a completely reimagined video editing experience. Built for both desktop and mobile, this tool empowers creators to produce professional-quality videos effortlessly, from social clips to full-scale campaigns. Whether for entrepreneurs, educators, or large-scale marketing teams, these upgrades make Canva an all-in-one hub for content creation across every medium.

Expanding its reach into marketing innovation, Canva also launched Canva Grow, a groundbreaking platform for marketing teams. This tool enables users to design compelling ads and publish them directly to channels like Meta, while simultaneously tracking real-time insights. By learning from performance data, Canva Grow helps refine and improve campaigns continuously — a first-of-its-kind feature that completes the full creative loop within the platform.

Perhaps the most revolutionary reveal of the summit was the world’s first foundational model for design, a pioneering AI system built from decades of design expertise and unique data. Unlike conventional models that generate flat, static images, this technology truly understands the principles of great design — from composition and color harmony to text layering and spatial balance. The result? Designs that are not only visually stunning but also editable and dynamic, ushering in a new age of creative intelligence.

In addition, Ask Canva was introduced — a real-time design assistant embedded across the platform. Simply tagging “@Canva” in a comment now provides instant, context-based advice, giving users on-demand guidance whenever inspiration (or confusion) strikes.

The summit also marked the debut of the All New Affinity, a major leap for professional designers. For the first time, vector editing, image manipulation, and pixel-based design are unified into a single product and file type. Now fully connected with Canva, Affinity allows creators to design intricate assets and seamlessly transfer them into Canva to scale and share across brands. In a surprising move that thrilled the design community, Canva announced that Affinity will now be completely free — forever.

The Asia-Pacific Press Summit was more than a product showcase; it was a statement of intent. Canva’s Creative Operating System is not just an upgrade — it’s a reimagining of how the world creates, collaborates, and communicates visually. With this ambitious step forward, Canva continues to shape the future of design, empowering millions to turn imagination into impact.
