Rising singer-songwriter ISSA unveils her newest single, “Alaala,” an intimate and heartfelt reflection on meeting someone who leaves a lasting imprint. The track captures the kind of connection that lingers long after the moment has passed, a memory you replay, hold onto, and quietly look forward to returning to.

Rather than dwelling on longing or heartbreak, “Alaala” leans into gratitude. The song lives in that delicate in-between space — missing someone, but with a soft smile. It is grounded in the happiness of having shared something real and meaningful.

With warm production and intimate storytelling, ISSA explores the comfort of knowing that even if time passes, the feeling remains vivid. “Alaala” is not about loss; it is about appreciation and crossing paths with someone who felt easy to be with, someone who made an ordinary moment unforgettable.

About theTrack

“Alaala” was written by ISSA, Raissa Laviña, Brian Lotho and produced by Brian Lotho, James Reid under CASA Entertainment.

Sonically, “Alaala” is described as a pop, R&B track with [an indie genre inspired production that highlights the messaging and vocal performance of Issa as an artist.

The production builds gradually, starting with ear candy guitar lines, a drum beat, and smooth vocals before expanding into a powerful vocal chant and drum beat driven segment that aims to be a nostalgic anthem of love and confession. The production mirrors the emotional expansion of the song’s narrative.

Running at approximately 2 minutes and 45 seconds, the song sits at 90bpm that evokes feelings of warmth and gratitude, doubling down on soft reminiscence rather than heartbreak.

A New Chapter for ISSA

With “Alaala,” ISSA continues to shape her identity as an artist who finds strength in vulnerability. The single marks a refined, intentional direction and one that blends emotional sincerity with elevated visuals and cohesive storytelling.

“Alaala” invites listeners to reflect on the people who quietly changed them and the memories that don’t fade, and the gratitude that remains long after.

As for what ISSA would like to share about the song, she shared “Some memories are just too sweet to be left in the past and ‘Alaala’ is about living in the memory of love.”
