Amid ongoing violence in the Middle East, several celebrities have voiced strong support for Israel, especially in light of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks that left over a thousand Israelis dead and many taken hostage.

While public opinion in Hollywood remains divided, a number of high-profile figures have stood with Israel, emphasizing its right to defend itself and condemning acts of terrorism.

1. Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot, a former Israeli soldier and international film star, has been one of the most vocal supporters of her home country. Following the Hamas attacks, Gadot shared an emotional post on Instagram expressing her heartbreak and condemnation of terrorism. “My heart is aching for my country. I pray for all of those who are suffering,” she wrote.

Beyond statements, she helped organize a private screening of footage from the October 7 attacks for Hollywood executives and industry figures, in an effort to raise awareness about the brutality of the events. Gadot has consistently used her platform to advocate for Israel’s right to exist in peace and safety.

2. Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld, the legendary comedian, also stood firmly in support of Israel. He took to social media to state, “I stand with Israel and the Jewish people.” His statement was direct, emphasizing solidarity with Israeli victims and condemnation of Hamas.

As one of the most influential Jewish entertainers in America, Seinfeld’s message carried significant weight, especially at a time when many celebrities chose to remain silent. He has since continued to participate in pro-Israel advocacy and has spoken about the rise of antisemitism amid the conflict.

3. Mark Ruffalo

Mark Ruffalo, known for his outspoken political views, took a more nuanced stance but ultimately expressed solidarity with Israeli civilians. While Ruffalo has historically advocated for Palestinian rights, in this instance he condemned the Hamas attacks.

He acknowledged the pain on both sides but emphasized that terrorism targeting civilians should never be justified.

4. Jon Voight

Following the October 7 attacks, Voight released a video calling for unity and strength, urging Americans and global leaders to stand with Israel in its fight against terror. Voight remains steadfast in his defense of Israel’s right to defend itself and continues to advocate for pro-Israel policies.

5. Debra Messing
