For years, people have been so fascinated by extravagant and out-of-the-box themes and ensembles worn by Hollywood stars. Fans are practically at the edge of their seats whenever they see their favorite celebrities strut their stuff on any red carpet event, especially at the Met Gala. 

However, it is important to note that this event is not just some grand gathering of stars. This occasion raises funds for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute situated in New York City.  And since we can’t get enough of the Met Gala hoopla, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite celebs that turned heads this year.

RIHANNA

Singer Rihanna was definitely worth the wait! The self-made billionaire arrived sporting a beautiful Balenciaga overcoat and a matching hat. The Fenty mogul was also a sight for sore eyes wearing the ‘Rebel Black Ring’ by Thelma West diamonds, which is said to be a highlight from the upcoming show Brilliant & Black: A Jewelry Renaissance.

KENDALL JENNER

Needless to say that Kendall Jenner is a statuesque beauty. And that’s exactly how she looked in the Met Gala when she wore a sheer beige dress by Givenchy, which was also trimmed with crystals. One of the ‘best dressed’ women of the night indeed!

JUSTIN BEIBER & HAILEY BEIBER

Celeb couple alert! Justin Beiber looked sleek and dashing in a simple black tux, while Hailey wore a minimalistic black gown, which she accessorized with a necklace and shades. They’re both giving us couple goals!

MEGAN FOX

Who is that smokin’ hot lady in red? Why, it is none other than Megan Fox! The Transformers star glided in a beaded red Dundas gown, which had a train and a thigh-high slit. Very sexy Megan!

EMILY BLUNT

Someone’s looking very angelic! Emily Blunt wowed audiences when she embodied the Statue of Liberty donning a modern and ethereal glass raindrop shape beaded dress and headpiece. This is surely one for the books!

JENNIFER LOPEZ

We can’t get over Jennifer Lopez’s outfit! The actress/singer opted an edgier Ralph Lauren ensemble, and totally killed it wearing a plunging neckline, feathered trim, thigh-high slit dress, and topped the whole look with a cowgirl hat.

Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X, without a doubt, stole the show at the Met Gala. First off, he arrived wearing a royal-inspired dress, then he de-robed showing off a gold armor suit, and then finally revealed a shining sparkly bodysuit. This is probably our favorite look of the night!

SERENA WILLIAMS

Who could forget Serena Williams’s look that day? The tennis champ totally killed it in a huge and over the top Pink Feather Cape, which she wore on top of a Silver Jumpsuit. Perfect combination.

Billie Eilish

It was hard to miss out on Billie Ellish when wore this Oscar de la Renta dress. She chose to don a nude tulle dress which had a long and dramatic train at the back. This pop star can pass for a princess!

KIM KARDASHIAN

One of the most unique, yet polarizing, outfits of the night would probably go to Kim Kardashian’s ensemble. Kim came in donning a fully-covered black Balenciaga haute couture gown with matching mask and train. However, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star’s makeup artist clarified that the celeb had her face made up before the event. This look was certainly the talk of the town!
