As she was going into her West Hollywood residence, Chrissy Teigen was asked by TMZ about the rumors of her having a tell-all with Oprah Winfrey, and it was one of the first times she was seen in public since the bullying issue began. “I have no idea about the Oprah interview,” replied the host, cookbook author and wife of John Legend, who has also been a known personality on Twitter.
She also said that she was doing good, and later on expressed that John has been her “everything” while she lay low amid the clamor surrounding her in the past months.
The rumor was addressed by reality star Courtney Stodden in her interview with TMZ, as they said they’re willing to take part in order to expose Chrissy Teigen’s bullying. “Oprah has a really big platform and I think that if it helps saves lives by me sharing my story I would consider it…I think that it’s important to be kind in this world and there’s been so much meanness happening and a lot of deflecting. So I would consider it if it helped people.”
It was last month when Chrissy was called out for her cyberbullying in the past toward Stodden, among many others, notably celebs. Stodden was a reality star who became famous around 2011 when she was sixteen and then married to 50-year-old acting coach Doug Hutchison, which caused them both to be ridiculed online and mocked. Stodden also said that aside from her public tweets, Chrissy occasionally direct-messaged them to kill themselves.
“I experienced so much harassment and bullying from her when I was just 16 years old,” Stodden, who is now 26 and divorced from Hutchinson, revealed last March of this year, on an Instagram video. “At a time when I needed help. I was being abused.”
Teigen has since then left Twitter and made a public apology for her past behavior. Below is a snippet of her apology which she posted on Instagram:
Several brands had removed her products amid the issue. It was also earlier this month when Teigen had dropped out of a role as a voiceover for Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, and amid the bullying issue with Michael Costello, the star had also seemed to stop her joint business with Kris Jenner, which was called Safely, which was launched in March, a company for cleaning products.
It could also be noted that the TV host did not direct an apology to Michael Costello, a designer and former Project Runway contestant. Costello had weighed in and shared screenshots of Chrissy bullying him in 2014, which he said caused him suicidal thoughts.
On the other hand, Chrissy posted a response on her Instagram, saying that the DMs that Costello showed were fake.
In response, Costello stood firm on his stance and posted the following on Instagram:
