Copenhagen Fashion Week is set to dazzle the fashion world once again with its Autumn/Winter 2025 edition, taking place from January 27 to January 31, 2025. As one of the most anticipated events on the global fashion calendar, this season promises a captivating mix of innovation, sustainability, and the unique Nordic aesthetic that has made Copenhagen a rising star among the fashion capitals.
This year, the event will showcase 36 brands, blending established Nordic names with exciting newcomers. Notably, the lineup includes Stel, a fresh venture from Astrid Andersen, and Birrot, both of which are making their runway debuts after impressive showings in previous seasons. The buzz around these brands is palpable, as they embody the spirit of contemporary Scandinavian design—minimalist yet bold, functional yet stylish.
Among the returning favorites is Filippa K, which is set to present its collection in a presentation format for the first time at CPHFW. This marks a significant comeback for the Swedish label, which has been absent from Scandinavian fashion weeks since 2018. The anticipation surrounding Filippa K’s return is heightened by its new creative direction under Anna Teurnell, promising a revitalized take on its signature style.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. Iconic Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen will also be gracing the runway after a brief hiatus, bringing her avant-garde vision back to the spotlight. Her return is expected to be a highlight of the week, showcasing her unique approach to design that challenges conventional fashion norms.
Copenhagen Fashion Week continues to emphasize sustainability, with all participating brands adhering to revised Sustainability Requirements. This initiative not only showcases eco-conscious practices but also sets a precedent for future fashion events globally. Cecilie Thorsmark, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week, expressed her enthusiasm about the lineup: “It represents some of the biggest Nordic leaders in fashion as well as some of our most iconic names returning to the schedule.”
The event will unfold across multiple venues in Copenhagen, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of creativity and style. Attendees can expect not just runway shows but also engaging presentations and industry talks that delve into the future of fashion. The integration of art and fashion will be particularly highlighted by Stine Goya’s intimate salon show at the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, coinciding with an exhibition that merges her designs with contemporary art.
As part of its commitment to nurturing new talent, CPHFW will introduce Bonnetje through its NewTalent scheme alongside other emerging designers like Stamm and Alectra Rothschild / Masculina. This initiative aims to provide a platform for innovative voices in fashion, ensuring that Copenhagen remains at the forefront of industry evolution.
With its rich tapestry of talent and creativity, Copenhagen Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025 is poised to be an unforgettable celebration of style. From groundbreaking designs to sustainable practices and cultural collaborations, this edition promises to captivate audiences and redefine what it means to be fashionable in today’s world. As we countdown to January 27th, excitement builds for what is sure to be an extraordinary showcase of Nordic ingenuity and flair.
