Dean Cain, best known for his role as Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, is set to make a splash with his latest film Little Angels, a heartwarming family sports comedy hitting theaters nationwide on June 6, 2025.

Cain not only stars in the movie but also takes on the roles of writer and director, delivering a story brimming with positive values such as redemption, teamwork, and personal growth.

Little Angels follows Jake Rogers, a Division I college football coach, whose career hits a setback after a controversial remark about female athletes. As part of his redemption journey, Jake is tasked with coaching a 12-year-old girls’ soccer team, made up of misfit players with a lot of heart but lacking in skill.

What begins as an assignment he begrudgingly accepts turns into a profound transformation for both Jake and the girls. Throughout the film, Jake learns about the true meaning of teamwork, discovers new purpose, and ultimately finds redemption through his connection with the team.

Cain describes Little Angels as a celebration of “heart, humor, and grit.” In a recent statement, he emphasized the film’s appeal to family audiences, noting that it is a story of underdogs who rise to the occasion through hard work, friendship, and perseverance. “It’s a film the whole family can watch together and walk away smiling,” said Cain.

The film’s portrayal of young girls chasing their dreams on the soccer field is inspiring, showcasing their resilience and determination despite the odds stacked against them.

The movie’s heartfelt narrative is enhanced by its relatable themes of personal mistakes and the often-turbulent path to redemption. As Jake spends more time with the team, he begins to form a deep bond with the girls, growing increasingly protective of them as they face challenges both on and off the field. The experience of coaching the girls ultimately changes Jake, allowing him to recognize the power of second chances and the importance of supporting others in their dreams.

Ryan O’Quinn, founder of Damascus Road Productions, praised the film as a perfect fit for families seeking positive, feel-good entertainment. “This is a feel-good family comedy filled with heart and humor that’s perfect for all ages,” said O’Quinn, emphasizing its role in creating high-quality, faith-affirming content for audiences everywhere.
