Miranda expressed, “Elton John, Tim Rice, Hans Zimmer, Lebo M., Mark Mancina, Beyoncé, Labrinth, Ilya Salmanzadeh, Beau Black, Ford Riley, and the remarkable music team behind ‘The Lion Guard,’ along with numerous other musical contributors over the years, have all contributed to ‘The Lion King’s’ extraordinary musical heritage. I feel honored and privileged to contribute to it. Collaborating with Barry Jenkins to portray Mufasa’s narrative has been an absolute delight, and we are eagerly anticipating audiences experiencing this film on the big screen.”

In “Mufasa: The Lion King,” Rafiki is tasked with recounting the tale of Mufasa to Kiara, the young lion cub and daughter of Simba and Nala, while Timon and Pumbaa add their characteristic humor. Through flashbacks, the narrative unfolds, introducing Mufasa as a cub without a family, who encounters Taka, a compassionate lion and heir to a royal lineage. This serendipitous meeting initiates a sweeping journey involving a diverse group of outcasts searching for their purpose. As they band together to overcome a menacing and perilous adversary, their unity and loyalty will be put to the test.
