Exploring the Artistry of Print: Asia Pacific Print Club’s Debut Exhibition in the Philippines

The Asia Pacific Print Club, a newly formed collective of printmakers from Southeast Asia, has brought its inaugural traveling exhibition to the Philippines.
This showcase features works from six prominent printmaking studios, including Black Hand Gang and Krack Studio from Indonesia, Chiangmai Art on Paper C.A.P. Studio and Jojo Kobe from Thailand, and Rolling Paper Press and Pasilyo Press from the Philippines.
The exhibition, which began its journey in December 2023 in Bali, Indonesia, and continued in Thailand, highlights the diverse talent and rich cultural heritage of printmaking in the Asia Pacific region. The Asia Pacific Print Club, founded in 2023, aims to provide a platform for printmakers to connect, collaborate, and share their work with a global audience.

The exhibition’s stop in the Philippines, hosted at Gravity Art Space in Quezon City from February 23 to March 23, 2024, offers art enthusiasts and the public alike a chance to experience the artistry of print up close. Alongside the exhibition, a Demo Day on February 24, 2024, will provide guests with an opportunity to learn about various printmaking techniques from the participating studios.
