Filipino TikTok LIVE creator and the Grand Champion of TikTok LIVE’s flagship competition Gimme The Mic 2024 Ryssi has officially released her debut single “My Angel.”

This debut marks an important milestone not just in Ryssi’s career but in how creators from diverse backgrounds shape their own music journeys through TikTok.  As a young mom and student, Ryssi began sharing acoustic covers and vocal performances on TikTok, gradually finding a community that appreciated her talent and authenticity.

Over time, livestreaming gave her more space to express herself in real time and gain feedback directly from viewers. Her consistent presence on TikTok eventually led her to compete in Gimme The Mic, where her ability to tell stories through music stood out among creators from around the world.

“‘My Angel'” is a deeply personal track for my son and marks the beginning of a new chapter in my music career. Gimme The Mic gave me the space to explore my path seriously. Through TikTok LIVE, I connected with real audiences, rebuilt my confidence, and found the momentum to take my music further,” said Ryssi.

Gimme The Mic is a TikTok LIVE initiative designed to help creators take their first real steps into music, with a path from discovery to development to release. Through features like livestreams and multi-guest tools, TikTok LIVE enables musicians to build their craft in public and in the community.

During the 2024 Gimme The Mic global finale, Ryssi rose to the top of a highly competitive field of over 80 finalists from  Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Europe. The Gimme The Mic Global Grand Finale, judged by renowned DJ and global superstar Alan Walker, saw Ryssi deliver a standout performance that earned her the title of global champion.

Other Gimme The Mic winners Caramel (Indonesia) and Adoo (South Korea) have also released their own original singles — “Fireworks Confession” and “Kiss Like This” — showcasing different creative perspectives from across the region.
