Who would have ever thought that after 18 years, “Miranda Priestly” herself will meet again her two fabulous assistants “Andy” and “Emily” at the stage of 2024 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards?

Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt, stars of “The Devil Wears Prada,” came together once again where they joined forces to announce the winner of the best actor in a comedy series category. Additionally, Blunt, who also garnered a nomination for supporting actress at the ceremony, was recognized for her performance in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer.”

The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 American comedy-drama film directed by David Frankel and produced by Wendy Finerman. The screenplay, written by Aline Brosh McKenna, is based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger.

Initially, Streep stood alone on stage and humorously informed the audience that she had misplaced her glasses along with the envelope containing the name of the winner for this year’s award. Hathaway and Blunt then made a surprise appearance to assist Streep, evoking a playful reference to their characters’ roles as assistants to Miranda Priestly (portrayed by Streep) in “The Devil Wears Prada.”

“Meryl and Miranda Priestly are sort of like twins,” Blunt jokingly said, to which Streep fiercely disagreed.

“No no. That wasn’t a question,” Hathaway quipped to Streep, referencing one of Miranda’s famously icy lines from the film.

Blunt also quoted the iconic Miranda by telling Streep: “By all means move at a glacial pace.”

Netizens and fans were delighted by this reunion.

“When Meryl looked at Anne’s blue dress I’m surprised she didn’t say ‘that dress is not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis it’s actually cerulean.’”

“She looks like a mother proud of her daughters.”

“Annie and Emily spouting Meryl’s lines – brilliant! Streep charging over the microphone and eyeballing Hathaway’s dress – perfection. I will never get tired of watching this.”

“THIS IS JUST WAY TOO ICONIC!!! SO HAPPY TO SEE THREE OF THE BEST ACTRESSES REUNITING ONCE AGAIN! GUESS IT’S TIME TO REWATCH THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME!!!”

“Now that’s called a classic Meryl Streep Act. You believe what she does then you realize it was part of the skit. Absolute legend!”

“Is it me or Anne Hathaway just becomes more & more beautiful every year? She’s so elegant, radiant, and pretty.”

“Meryl Streep should win an Oscar for that skit.”

“Smiling smile, crying smile, her everything is always beautifully remembered!!”

Meanwhile, “The Devil Wears Prada” is being adapted into a stage musical. Vanessa Williams is set to portray Miranda Priestly in the London West End production, with an original score by Elton John, direction and choreography by three-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, lyrics by singer-songwriter Shaina Taub, and a book by Kate Wetherhead.
