A Facebook user named Kuina Hikari overlaid Glaiza’s voice from her scenes as Sanggre Pirena in GMA’s fantasy series Encantadia, and used this during one of Trese’s fighting scenes.

Trese, a hit Filipino fantasy crime-horror series on Netflix, premiered on June 11, and garnered mixed reactions due to Liza Soberano’s voice acting.

One may recall that some netizens were disappointed in Liza’s performance, stating that the delivery of her lines was bland and monotonous. They also expressed that executives should have tapped professional voice actors instead of Liza.

Others praised Kuina’s edited video and underlined that Glaiza’s voice seemed to fit Trese’s character more.

One commented on the video and wrote, “sobrang ganda po huhu! Ang galing niyo!”

Kuina then stated, “Thank youuuu!!!! Eto kasi talaga ang gusto ng trese fandom dati pa tsaka para to sa fandom ng trese eh, dami nangaaway na fans ni liza sksksksks”

A netizen praised Kuina’s editing skills told her, “ANG GALING MO TALAGA BESTIEEEEE.”

Someone else aired her thoughts on the matter and added, “Si liza kasi pinili pang marketing strategy hahahaha gara lang mas malakas dating kapag si glaiza talaga kasi kahit di naman gaano sikat si glaiza kung maganda naman pagkakadeliver niya ng boses sisikat at sisikat naman yan haha.”

However, producer-director Jay Oliva defended Liza against her detractors and said, “When casting for the role of Alexandra, I spoke to creator @Budjette about how he envisioned the character. He basically said that she’s like Batman/Bruce Wayne. She’s cold and unemotional at times because of all the things she’s experienced in life.”
