What breakup? It seems like all is well between fashion icon Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero, as the two spent New Year’s Eve together.

The Kapuso star took to Instagram and uploaded a photo of herself along with her hubby and his two children Quino and Chesi.

One may recall that the news broke out last September 2022 that Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero’s marriage might be on the rocks. Before 2022 ended, a silver lining appeared.

The influencer-actress posted on Instagram regarding “living between 2 worlds”, since she has residences both in Paris and Manila. However, what caught the netizen’s attention, as well as several entertainment scribes, is the “P.s.” at the bottom which says “See you soon @escuderochiz”. This led people to speculate that the two are on good terms again and there will be a high possibility of them being able to fix their marriage, as long as they talk it out.

The theory that they might be already separated started last July 30, 2022 during the Thanksgiving Gala of GMA Network. Netizens noticed the sad look in Heart’s eyes and the absence of her warm smile despite the happy occasion. This was also the last time the couple were seen together in public.

When August came, more circumstantial evidence was put forth by internet sleuths, such as the removal of the surname “Escudero” from the Kapuso fashionista’s Instagram bio. Before, it read “LOVE MARIE ONGPAUCO ESCUDERO” then it became just “LOVE MARIE”. Apart from this, her avid followers pointed out that her OOTD (Outfit of the Day) on her Instagram story last August 8 shows that she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring anymore. The senator, who used to be so visible in her Instagram stories, stopped appearing.

However, other equally eagle-eyed netizens were quick to point out that Heart’s Instagram bio still states that she is a “wife”, and her name on Twitter is LoveMarie O. Escudero, which means one can’t conclude that she dropped her husband’s surname officially.

Netizen Rica Chona said: “Ganon talaga pag matagal nang kasal. Just because  hindi naga-I love you a social media, that doesn’t  mean na hiwalay na. Minsan,  busy lang talaga. Yung ordinary mag-asawa nga minsan,  tango na lang pag dumadating sa bahay.  Wala nang halik o yakap. That doesn’t  mean na hindi na mahal ang isa’t isa.”
