“Is there a possibility for Joy and Ethan’s love story for reel and… for real?”

That is the question of fans and supporters of the formed pair “KathDen” or Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, due to their collaboration in the movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye” which was once hailed as the “highest-grossing Filipino movie of all time” in 2019, after Alden surprised Kathryn with a surprise birthday party for her.

In Priscilla Tañedo or “Boop Yap’s” Instagram stories, their surprise birthday party for Kathryn can be seen, and indeed, one of their surprise guests was Alden who brought a bouquet of red roses and a gift for Kath, who has been single for four months since her breakup with ex-boyfriend Daniel Padilla.

Kathryn appeared completely taken aback upon seeing Alden at the venue, but she eventually approached him to accept the flowers and the gift.

In another video, Earl Semitara, Mark Bumgarner’s co-creative director, also posted a clip of KathDen capturing selfies with a digital camera. Later on, their friends snapped a picture of them together where the onscreen love team appeared very intimate.

In the previous month, Alden was present at Kathryn’s glamorous birthday celebration in El Nido, Palawan, where he performed the song “Bakit Ngayong Ka Lang” during their karaoke session.

Kathryn also received birthday wishes from her former boyfriend, Daniel Padilla.

So now that both Kathryn and Alden are single, fans and supporters of KathDen are calling for a reunion project. They argue that collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA Network is becoming more common, so it’s not impossible for them to have a reunion project like a teleserye, similar to “Unbreak My Heart.”

Another suggestion they have is that it’s timely for a sequel to “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” especially now that there’s no “obstacle” for it to happen since Kathryn and Daniel are no longer together. There have been rumors circulating that Daniel allegedly “blocked” or prevented the supposed part 2 of the movie because of jealousy. This was also supposedly the reason why DJ suddenly flew to Hong Kong while the cast was shooting, which was explained as just a visit to Director Cathy Garcia-Molina (Sampana now).
