And “indoor” certainly does not mean small. Spanning around 400,000 square metres, Chimelong Spaceship is the world’s largest indoor theme park. Inside, 67 freshwater and seawater pools are home to nearly 150,000 marine animals across more than 400 species, alongside immersive attractions and high-tech entertainment.

Families can journey underwater aboard the Deep-Sea Submarine, feel the action of Bermuda Storm 5D Theatre, or simply wander through a futuristic world where marine discovery meets technology.

That futuristic feeling now goes even further. Following a major upgrade in September 2026, Chimelong Spaceship became what the resort describes as the world’s first large-scale embodied-intelligence theme park, bringing hundreds of robots into the visitor experience. Children can watch robot performances, interact through Q&A, meet robotic “marine science tutors” and see robots take part in large-scale shows — a playful way to get surprisingly close to the technology of the future.
