Hori7on is now formally backed by the combined forces of two powerful entertainment companies, ABS-CBN and MLD Entertainment, the management company behind the likes of Momoland, TFN, and Lapillus.
The contract signing took place last March and with this, the two companies will jointly manage the career of the 7 boys both in the Philippines and Korea. Hori7on released their pre-debut teaser of the music video ‘Dash’, which was composed by their Korean mentor Bull$eye.
Hori70n is comprised of the top 7 ‘Dream Maker’ idol reality show contenders, namely Jeromy Batac, Marcus Cabais, Kyler Chua, Vinci Malizon, Reyster Yton, Kim Ng, and Winston Pineda.
Hori7ons fans will get to know more about their idols via their guestings in different shows like ‘I Can See Your Voice’ and ‘Tropang LOL.’ Before the boys fly off to Korea for further training, it was announced that they will be visiting different provinces until April. They would be performing in Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Cavite, Koronadal, Gensan, and Zamboanga.
Present during the contract signing were Star Magic and Entertainment Production head Laurenti Dyogi, business unit heads Reily Santiago and Marcus Vinuya, and MLD Entertainment CEO Lee Hyoungjin.
“So it’s a partnership talaga na that’s uh…binuo form the start to conception, hanggang sa magdebut sila, hanggang sa suportahan talaga ng both entertainment groups of ABS-CBN and MLD…that we make sure that this group will be successful globally,” explained Dyogi.
It was just last year when the group’s journey as idols started, which was when they auditioned for ‘Dream Maker,’ a collaboration project of ABS-CBN, MLD Entertainment, and Kamp Korea. They were chosen as the cream of the crop among over 60 contestants. The audience saw how they improved and overcame challenges to reach their goals, with the help of Filipino and Korean mentors Angeline Quinto, Darren Espanto, Bailey May, Thunder, Bae Wan Hee, Bull$eye, and Bae Yoon Jung.
It has just been a couple of weeks since they won, but the Hori7on members have experienced changes in their lives. “Yung pinakanagbago talaga sa amin, mas nag-eager pa po kaming magtraining nang malala kasi we’re ano po…holding this big responsibility…kasi magrerepresent kami ng Philippines to the other countries po,” said Winston.
Kim shared that they have to take everything now more seriously, especially the training. Their bond as brothers also improved, according to him. For more information on Hori7on, follow @HORI7ONofficial on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube.
