Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto, both prominent figures in the Philippine entertainment industry, have garnered significant attention for their on-screen chemistry and off-screen relationship. In the latest episode of Kapamilya broadcast journalist Karen Davila’s vlog this Thursday, June 6, she questioned Gerald about marriage.

“Are you ready for marriage?” Karen asked.  “Yeah, of course. I’m closer to that kasi kung 5, 3 years ago, tanungin n’yo sa ’kin ’yan, ’Hindi, hindi,’” Gerald answered.

“But syempre, that’s why I’m doing all of this kasi gusto ko maalagaan ’yong mga anak ko na wala silang iisipin. But ’di sila pwedeng maging spoiled kasi hindi madali ang buhay,” he added. “So ’yon, everything I do in life is leading up to you know, ’yong aspeto na ’yon.”

Meanwhile, if we look back at Julia’s response in an interview in 2022 regarding the possibility of Gerald proposing to her, she said she would be ready to agree and leave showbiz for her boyfriend.

King of Talk Boy Abunda interviewed the Viva actress in a vlog episode titled “Who Are You When No One Is Watching?” in 2022.  She said her response would be yes if he proposed. She is no longer afraid of settling down with her boyfriend. She said he is the one she wants to be with for the rest of her life.

She was also ready then to start a family and is willing to leave showbiz to focus on taking care of her future family.

In 2019, Gerald garnered attention due to his contentious breakup with actress Bea Alonzo. Years after the incident, Bea disclosed that Gerald abruptly ceased all communication with her, effectively ending their relationship. Bea referred to this abrupt cessation as being “ghosted.”

In March 2021, it was confirmed that Julia and Gerald entered into a romantic relationship. Nearly two years following Gerald’s tumultuous split with Bea, he finally spoke out about his connection with Julia. During an extensive interview with Boy Abunda, he openly expressed that Julia brought him immense joy and happiness.

In April 2021, Julia shared with Gerald her intention to embark on the journey of starting a family within the next five years. During one of Gerald’s YouTube vlogs, he inquired about Julia’s aspirations for the future, and she revealed her vision of beginning her own family within that time frame.

In August 2021, Gerald expressed his belief that Julia is the perfect partner for him. Following Julia’s disclosure about her desire to start a family, Gerald further elaborated on his feelings regarding marriage with her.
