Taormina, the historic coastal gem of Sicily, became the epicenter of elegance and artistry as Bvlgari unveiled its latest high jewelry collection: Polychroma. Set against a dramatic Mediterranean backdrop, the Roman maison presented an unforgettable evening that blended heritage, craftsmanship, and glamour in perfect harmony.
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the Polychroma collection itself. True to its name, the line is a celebration of color and form. Bvlgari debuted a staggering 600 pieces, with 250 entirely new designs, including 60 “millionaire” creations and five milestone masterpieces.
Each piece radiated with vibrancy, showcasing exceptional gemstones in bold settings—an unmistakable hallmark of Bvlgari’s high jewelry ethos. From vibrant sapphires to rare emeralds, every jewel was hand-selected, reflecting Creative Director Lucia Silvestri’s philosophy: Bvlgari chooses the stones—not the other way around.
To mark this exceptional launch, Bvlgari invited a constellation of global icons. Lisa of Blackpink arrived in a striking Polychroma necklace that echoed the collection’s playful spirit, while Priyanka Chopra Jonas wore a layered suite that shimmered with rubellites and diamonds. Viola Davis graced the evening with quiet sophistication, her choice of earrings and cuffs exuding timeless elegance. Also present were Liu Yifei and other international stars, each adding a personal flair to the night’s visual spectacle.
The evening began with a refined gala dinner held at the Grand Hotel Timeo. With its terrace overlooking Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea, the venue set a romantic and classical tone.
Guests dined under the Sicilian sky, savoring local delicacies amid a setting adorned with Greek-inspired motifs and Mediterranean florals. The ambiance—both intimate and grand—was the perfect prelude to the evening’s main showcase.
Following dinner, the experience transitioned to Taormina’s ancient Greek Theater, where guests were treated to a powerful three-act performance. Choreographed by Sir Wayne McGregor, resident choreographer of The Royal Ballet, the presentation combined dance and storytelling with fashion and high jewelry.
Models, clad in custom Francesco Murano gowns, glided across the open-air stage, their movements illuminating each Polychroma piece in a new dimension. The choreography captured the essence of the collection—bold, fluid, and expressive.
To deepen the experience, Bvlgari curated an exhibition at the San Domenico Palace. This immersive showroom featured digital installations by artist Zach Lieberman and bespoke textiles by Rubelli, suspended like mosaics above the centerpiece jewels. Adding a local touch, Sicilian artist Alessandro Florio’s handcrafted tapestries grounded the exhibit in its cultural setting.
Modern innovation met ancient artistry with Bvlgari’s tech-forward experiences. The Polychroma Theatre, a digital reinterpretation of a 16th-century statue by Giuseppe Lo Schiavo, offered a multisensory narrative.
Visitors also explored Bvlgari’s world through Apple Vision Pro headsets, while the new Connected Jewelry feature embedded invisible digital codes into each piece, offering buyers a closer connection to their treasures.
With its fusion of art, technology, and timeless beauty, Bvlgari’s Taormina affair proved more than a jewelry launch—it was a full-sensory celebration of the maison’s storied legacy and luminous future.
