Johnny Manahan, known by many in the showbiz  industry as Mr. M, is officially a Kapuso! GMA Network made the announcement online on Tuesday, July 13.

The media giant posted on its online platforms and wrote, ““It’s official! Meet our newest Kapuso, Mr. Johnny Manahan.”

One may recall that Manahan  made the decision to leave ABS-CBN in 2020, following the rejection of it’s franchise renewal.  He then directed the now-defunct musical variety show “Sunday Night Live” and the noontime show “Lunch Out Loud” at TV5.

Kapuso stars welcomed the director and posted heartfelt messages online.

Pokwang uploaded a photo on her Instagram account and stated, “Congratulations Tatay. See you soon.”

Jackie Lou Blanco also took to social media and wrote, “Were are so lucky and blessed to have you with us Mr. M!!!” Woohoo!!!”

Manahan is a prominent director who has been in the industry for 50 years, and was formerly chairman emeritus of talent agency Star Magic at ABS-CBN. 

The starmaker has shaped iconic celebrities such as Bea Alonzo, Piolo Pascual, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Claudine Barreto, Diether Ocampo, John Lloyd Cruz, and many more.
