Jason Mamoa is back on the market once again! The Hollywood actor and his wife Lisa Bonet confirmed that they are getting a divorce after five years of marriage. 

The two stars posted a joint statement on Jason’s Instagram account on Wednesday announcing that they are going their separate ways.

“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times. “A revolution is unfolding ~ and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our family news that we are parting ways in marriage.”

It continued on, “We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy. But so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived.” 

“We free each other to be who we are learning to become … Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the prayer. May love prevail,” the message added. 

It can be recalled that Jason and Lisa tied the knot in October 2017 after dating for more than a decade. This was a first for the hunky actor, while the second for Lisa who was previously married to Lenny Kravitz.

The couple have three children together: Lola, 14, and Nakoa-Wold,13.

Jason is known for his role as the comic book superhero Aquaman, while Lisa charmed audiences by portraying Denise Huxtable on the comedy sitcom The Cosby Show, and its spinoff series A Different World.
