Jeremy Renner, famous for his roles in Marvel Cinematic Universe as Hawkeye, as well as The Hurt Locker, got involved in a tragic accident involving a snow plough which sent him to the intensive care unit.

He is still in critical condition following his serious injuries caused by the 6,500kg machinery, after having undergone two surgeries at a Nevada hospital where he was airlifted last January 2.

Renner’s family confirmed in their original statement following the surgical procedure that “Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries.” Some initial reports have described him as “completely crushed,” and a 911 recording which TMZ acquired captured the 51-year-old actor’s voice yelling in the background as the PistenBully or Sno-Cat – a 14,330-pound (6,500kg) equipment used to get rid of snow, was rolling over him.

“Thank you for all your kind words. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all,” said the actor. The press conference led by the Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam revealed that they have confiscated the heavy equipment, and the mishap occurred when the victim tried to aid his family member driving his vehicle when it got stuck in the snow.

As Renner was conversing with the said individual, the PistenBully started to roll due to the surface and trampled down one of Renner’s legs, which caused near-exsanguination after he lost a lot of blood.

There is no confirmation whether or not the extensive injuries have a lasting impact on his physiology, particularly on his ability to walk.

His Marvel co-stars Chris Pratt and Chris Hemsworth were among the first ones to comment on his Instagram post.
