Celebrity couple Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola renewed their marriage vows in a church ceremony in Coron, Palawan last february 15, accompanied by their daughter “Baby Peanut,” who played the role of the “little bride.”

According to a report on “TV Patrol,” the couple hosted their wedding at a secluded island resort in Coron on Thursday, February 15. Father Tito Caluag officiated the ceremony.

This was also confirmed by ABS-CBN entertainment journalist MJ Felipe in an X post on Feb. 15.

Luis Manzano’s parents, Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos, along with his stepfather Ralph Recto, and Jessy Mendiola’s parents, who were unable to attend their wedding in 2021, were all in attendance at the couple’s special occasion.

The wedding party of Manzano and Mendiola consisted of his brother Ryan Recto, her sister Megan Tawile, and celebrity duo Alex Gonzaga and Mikee Morada. ABS-CBN executives Carlo Katigbak and Cory Vidanes were also among their principal sponsors.

The couple’s civil marriage took place in 2021 at a luxurious resort in Lipa, Batangas. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, their wedding was limited to intimate family members and their closest relatives. Two months later, they disclosed the news via a vlog on Jessy Mendiola’s YouTube channel. Following more than a year, they celebrated the arrival of Rosie in December 2022.

The couple also hosted a reception dinner by the beach, during which Jessy Mendiola was spotted wearing a specially tailored maxi dress with an open back designed by Martin Bautista. Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola-Manzano also provided glimpses of their Valentine’s Day celebration, during which the small family savored the scenic shoreline and sunset from their beachfront house.

“How we spent our Valentine’s day,” Luis captioned. Further information regarding their church wedding is anticipated to be disclosed, particularly as it took place a few days prior to their third anniversary on February 21.

During an interview with ABS-CBN News on February 3, 2024, Jessy expressed that she and Manzano waited for the opportune moment so that her entire family could be present to witness this significant milestone in their lives.

Nakakatuwa, kasi my whole family is coming and finally they can meet Rosie,” Jessy reiterated during the Health and Wellness Expo at SM Megamall.

“It’s an intimate wedding again, we’re not really hiding it but we’re not putting it our there naman. This time kasi, si Luis nga sweet eh, sabi niya I want you to have your wedding of your dreams, with your family and with the Lord,” she added. 

Finance Secretary Ralph Recto affirmed the date of the church wedding, prompting him to reschedule the planned monetary authorities meeting to Valentine’s Day, February 14.

“We have to attend a wedding on Thursday, my stepson and Gov. Eli’s niece,” said Recto.

After their individual breakups (Luis with Angel Locsin, Jessy with JM De Guzman), it was anticipated that Luis and Jessy would be linked romantically back in 2016. This marked the beginning of speculations suggesting a budding relationship between the two. Nearly a year after rumors circulated about their relationship, Jessy confessed that she and Luis were, in fact, romantically involved.
