Joe Rogan Starts Going to Church as Christian Faith Sees Renewed Surge, Apologist Says

A surprising shift is underway in the world of popular culture as Joe Rogan, one of the most influential podcast hosts today, has begun attending church regularly. This change reflects a broader trend of renewed interest in Christian faith across different demographics.
As faith-based conversations gain traction, Roganâs engagement with Christianity highlights a growing curiosity about spiritual matters among audiences that have long been considered secular or skeptical.
Christian apologist Wesley Huff, who appeared on Roganâs podcast earlier this year, revealed that Rogan has been attending church regularly since their deep conversation about Christianity and the Bible.Â
Huff, who directs Apologetics Canada in Central Canada, shared on the âLiving Watersâ podcast that Roganâs church attendance has been âconsistentâ and that their ongoing communication has been encouraging. According to Huff, Rogan is âa very inquisitive individualâ who is seriously reflecting on questions about Jesus, Scripture, and the trustworthiness of the Bible.
This personal spiritual exploration by Rogan is taking place within a broader cultural context where Christianity appears to be regaining ground after decades of decline in religious affiliation in the United States.
Huff pointed to an interesting moment in early 2025 when Ascensionâs âRosary in a Yearâ podcast briefly surpassed Roganâs own podcast in popularity on Appleâs charts, signaling increased mainstream interest in faith-based media.
Beyond Roganâs experience, data supports this trend of renewed engagement with Christianity. A recent study by the American Bible Society reported an increase in Bible use from 38% to 41% among Americans, with Millennials and men showing the most significant upticks.
Millennials saw a 29% rise in Bible usage from 2024 to 2025, and men experienced a 19% increase, narrowing the traditional gender gap in Bible engagement.
Huff also shared an anecdote from a Christian bookstore that has seen more teenagers coming in, requesting Bibles because their friends are reading them. This grassroots enthusiasm reflects a wider hunger for spiritual answers and a desire to explore Christianityâs claims in a thoughtful way.
Roganâs evolving perspective has also been marked by skepticism of some popular scientific theories, such as the Big Bang, which he recently questioned on his podcast. He expressed that it seems more logical to believe in a Creatorâone who aligns with the biblical account of Jesus Christârather than accept the complex origins of the universe without explanation.
Throughout his discussions with Huff and others, Rogan has been wrestling with the nature of Jesusânot just as a moral figure, but as someone who challenges individuals about salvation and the limits of self-reliance. Huff explained that Rogan seemed genuinely thoughtful about these questions, recognizing that Christianity offers not merely a code of ethics but a call to trust in something beyond human effort.
Joe Roganâs new church attendance mirrors a broader cultural moment in which Christianity is experiencing a surprising resurgence. With growing Bible engagement and renewed curiosity from younger generations, the faithâs presence in popular culture and media appears to be gaining momentum. Roganâs journey may serve as a notable example, as a highly influential public figure turns to faith and encourages dialogue around the enduring significance of the Christian message.
