The 2025 Webby Awards are spotlighting major digital and creative achievements once again, with big names like Kendrick Lamar, Jason Kelce, and The Hollywood Reporter securing nominations. Out of nearly 13,000 entries from over 70 countries, this year’s nominees represent the internet’s best work across video, apps, social media, and editorial content. 

With fewer than 12% of submissions making the cut, the competition is fierce — and the top five major categories are packed with familiar names pushing boundaries in their respective fields.

1. Best Music Video: Kendrick Lamar – “Not Like Us”

Fresh off a Grammy win, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” continues its impact by earning a Webby nomination for Best Music Video. Directed with cinematic intensity and shot in Watts, California, the video is a bold celebration of Lamar’s lyrical power and cultural relevance. 

The nomination highlights the growing intersection of music and high-level digital production, reinforcing Lamar’s influence not just in music but in visual storytelling.

2. Best Sports Video – Branded Entertainment: Travis and Jason Kelce

The Kelce brothers’ continued rise as sports media personalities was recognized with a nomination in the Best Sports Video category for their engaging branded entertainment content. 

Their viral blend of humor, football insights, and personality-driven storytelling has made them a standout pair in the digital space. Whether on podcasts, commercials, or social segments, the Kelces are redefining how athletes connect with fans online.

3. Best Interview or Talk Show: The Hollywood Reporter Drama Actress Roundtable

The Hollywood Reporter landed a prestigious nomination in the Interview or Talk Show category for its 2024 Drama Actress Roundtable. Featuring Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Jodie Foster, Brie Larson, Naomi Watts, Sofía Vergara, and Anna Sawai, the roundtable showcased deep, thoughtful conversations about acting, creativity, and the current state of entertainment. 4.  Best Podcast Interview – Zoe Saldaña

Winners of the 29th Annual Webby Awards will be announced on April 22, with the ceremony taking place on May 12 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. Hosted by Ilana Glazer, the event will once again challenge winners to give five-word speeches — a Webby tradition that blends brevity with boldness.
