Kisses Delavin and Maureen Wroblewitz trended on social media when news circulated that both were vying for the Miss Universe Philippines crown.

The two showbiz personalities are among the top 100 contenders running as the next Miss Universe Philippines.

It was confirmed on Monday in the organization’s social media platforms that Kisses and Maureen were listed in the last batch of official delegates.

One may note that Kisses was crowned Miss Teen Masbate in 2013 and Miss Kaogma in 2016, before she was seen in ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother. She also starred in projects such as Fantastica, Walwal, Amorosa, Ipaglaban Mo, and Playhouse.

Meanwhile, Maureen was hailed the winner of Asia’s Next Top Model  back in 2017, and is the first Filipina to win in the competition. She then signed with the training and management subsidiary of ABS-CBN Corporation Star Magic. 

Other candidates include Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidate Christelle Abello, Miss Globe 2019 second runner-up Leren Mae Bautista, Binibining Cebu 2018 Steffi Aberasturi, and Miss Supranational 2018 first runner-up Katrina Dimaranan.

The contestants will go through preliminary rounds and the final 30 will take part on the coronation night.

The winner will then succeed Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.

The organization also made the announcement on Tuesday, July 20, that this year’s Miss Universe competition will be held in Israel in December, and will have Steve Harvey as the host. 

They also took to twitter and said, “70 years! The 70th Miss Universe competition is heading to Eilat, Israel! Miss Universe will air live around the world December 2021.”

Although, no exact date has been confirmed.
