Actor Kit Thompson was held under police custody in Tagaytay for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Ana Jalandoni on Friday, March 18.

According to Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra, regional director of the Calabarzon Police Regional Office, Kit was brought in for questioning after authorities received a phone call from Ana through the emergency hotline 911asking for help.  

“Based on the statement of the victim, she had a misunderstanding with her boyfriend that resulted in physical violence,” Yarra added.

The officer continued on and stated, “Allegedly, the suspect assaulted and punched the victim on  different parts of her body.” 

Ana, who is also in the entertainment industry, was then brought to the hospital for medical treatment. She even sent photos of her injuries to loved ones via messenger app.

Meanwhile, the actor’s agency Cornerstone Entertainment release a statement which read, “We have just been informed that one of our artists, Mr. Kit Thompson, was allegedly involved in an incident that transpired last night in Tagaytay City, Cavite.”

“As we have yet to receive a formal report regarding the alleged incident, we could not give a response nor comment on the matter” the talent management agency said.  .

“However, we request the public to be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online,” Cornerstone added.
