Liquid ECHO, Falcons APBren to compete in MSC 2024 at Riyadh’s Esports World Cup

Liquid ECHO and Falcons APBren are set to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024, part of the inaugural Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 3-14, 2024.
Both teams secured their spots in the major mid-year MLBB tournament by winning the championship and runner-up titles in the recent Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 13.

The MSC 2024 marks its debut at the Esports World Cup with a historic USD 3 million prize pool, a first-time venture outside Southeast Asia. Sixteen international teams from regions including the Philippines, Indonesia, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, North America, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), Turkey, Latin America, and China will compete.
The Philippines, boasting the most world championship titles, eyes the USD 1 million (PHP 57 million) top prize, aiming for its fourth MSC championship. The competition intensifies with international teams recruiting top Filipino players, raising the stakes in Riyadh.
Falcons APBren kicks off the Group Stage on July 3, 2024, at 11:00 (GMT+3) against Xianyou Gaming, while Liquid ECHO’s first match follows at 14:00 (GMT+3) against Twisted Minds. Check out the teams’ complete rosters below:

Pinay Pataas: Time for Omega Empress to shine on the global stage
The Philippines will be represented by Smart Omega Empress in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2024.
This global tournament for female gamers will showcase 12 international teams competing for a record-breaking USD 500,000 prize pool. One of the highlighted matchups includes the rivalry between Smart Omega Empress’ renowned roamer, Meraaay, and Team Vitality’s Vivian, known as the “Indonesian Mother of Tanks.”
