New York Fashion Week ended on a dazzling note as LoveShackFancy transformed the historic James B. Duke Mansion into a Gilded Age fantasy for its autumn/winter 2025 celebration. The event, hosted by the brand’s founder and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen, was a feast of romance, nostalgia, and opulence—true to LoveShackFancy’s signature aesthetic.
The evening felt like a scene from a grand Gilded Age ball, with guests adorned in pearls, lace, and sequins. LoveShackFancy’s founder and creative director, Rebecca Hessel Cohen, curated an atmosphere that exuded opulence while maintaining a sense of effortless charm.
Inspired by socialite Doris Duke, the venue was transformed into a living tribute to aristocratic elegance, with cascading florals, warm candlelight, and intricate décor setting the tone.
The collection itself embraced a darker, more sophisticated palette while staying true to the brand’s signature feminine aesthetic. Guests watched as models descended the mansion’s grand staircase, showcasing a blend of Victorian and Edwardian lace, sequins, and floral appliqué, with each look embodying the dreamy nostalgia LoveShackFancy is known for.
Hessel Cohen welcomed a diverse mix of guests, from industry icons to rising stars. Singer-songwriter and model Charlotte Lawrence, “The Summer I Turned Pretty” actor Gavin Casalegno, and designer Rachel Zoe were just a few of the notable names in attendance. TV host and chef Daphne Oz, fashion influencer Danielle Bernstein, and actors Odeya Rush and Hart Denton also joined the festivities, adding to the event’s electric energy.
Fashion insiders and celebrities alike embraced the night’s aesthetic, donning LoveShackFancy’s signature whimsical designs. The blend of vintage elegance and modern silhouettes made for a visually stunning celebration of style.
The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection showcased LoveShackFancy’s mastery of blending past and present. Inspired by fashion eras spanning the 1930s, 1970s, and early 2000s, the pieces reflected a journey through time. Hessel Cohen described the collection’s color palette as a “makeup palette” of rich bronzes, mauves, and varied pink hues, evoking a sense of timeless beauty.
Intricate beadwork was a standout element, with one floral appliqué dress taking over 325 hours to complete. Luxurious textures like suede and corduroy added depth, while the juxtaposition of moody black lace dresses and romantic sequined gowns balanced the collection’s ethereal aesthetic. Each piece was designed to elevate partywear, merging playful whimsy with refined craftsmanship.
The evening was more than just a party—it was a celebration of LoveShackFancy’s continued evolution. While staying true to its signature romantic style, the collection introduced fresh elements that spoke to the modern woman’s desire for both nostalgia and innovation.
As the night drew to a close, the event solidified its place as one of the most enchanting moments of New York Fashion Week. LoveShackFancy once again proved that fashion is more than just clothing—it’s an experience, a feeling, and a timeless story woven into every thread.
