The final day of Manila Fashion Week 2025 culminated in a powerful showcase of creativity and individuality with shows from Viña Romero and Randolf, followed by the official MNLFW After Party at Samsung Hall.

At the Samsung Hall Deck, Viña Romero opened the night with a collection that exuded ethereal sophistication. Known for her refined craftsmanship and romantic design language, Viña delivered a runway of graceful silhouettes, intricate drapery, and a vision that celebrated modern femininity.

Closing the week at the Fashion Tent, Randolf brought humor, heart, and originality to the runway. His playful yet meticulously designed pieces reflected the brand’s signature mix of wit and cultural commentary — an unapologetic statement of creativity that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of MNLFW.

The evening concluded with the official Manila Fashion Week After Party at Samsung Hall — a celebration of the designers, collaborators, and the community who helped make the inaugural season a success.

We sat down with both Viña Romero and Randolf to discuss their inspirations and reflections on closing the first-ever Manila Fashion Week.

What inspired the theme of this collection and why did you choose for it to be your showcased collection for the inaugural season of MNL Fashion Week?
This year marks Viña Romero’s 10th year in the industry, and Mga Bakas: Noon, Ngayon, at Bukas serves as both a reflection and a celebration of that journey. The collection brings together the processes, textures, and signature details we’ve developed over the years — a culmination of our growth and the creative language we’ve built.
It’s also an ode to the people who have been part of our story — the artisans, collaborators, and team members who continue to shape the brand with passion and care. The pieces embody the essence of who we are and the life we’ve been slowly building — familiar yet evolving, same-same but different, just like us.
The collection is called HEAURT, a mix of Heart and Hurt, and it is a collection that explores the feeling of loving too much until it hurts. It explores the feeling of obsession where one thinks that it’s love when it’s not. I wanted to create a collection that explores these feelings, but I also wanted it to end with the feeling of going back to yourself and having a better sense of self respect.
What message or feeling do you hope audiences take away from your presentation tonight/today?I hope the audience feels the depth of work and heart that go into every piece — the time, hands, and craft behind each one. More than the clothes, I want them to fall in love with the process — the quiet, thoughtful rhythm that defines how we create.
For us, sustainability goes beyond materials or methods. It’s about designing not just garments, but a way of living — one that’s intentional, grounded, and aligned with the life we want to build.
Despite the collection’s them lol, I want my audience to see themselves wearing the clothes. I want them to appreciate the workmanship of my team which I am very proud of.
