Hollywood’s golden couple, Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley, are about to embark on their most exciting adventure yet: parenthood! The Australian actress and her British producer husband have been inseparable since they met in 2013, and now they’re eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child.

Margot and Tomstarted as friends, sharing a three-bedroom house in London with other roommates. But as fate would have it, their friendship blossomed into something more. Margot once confessed, “I was always in love with him, but I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.'”

But love prevailed, and Tom won her heart. Margot gushed at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards, “He likes being behind the camera. He’s not fazed by any of this stuff.” And that’s the secret sauce—they’re on the same page, both personally and professionally.

Tom Ackerley was born on June 13, 1990, in Surrey, England, Tom Ackerley wears multiple hats in the entertainment industry. He’s an English film producer, actor, and former assistant director. But what makes him even more intriguing? His love story with the talented Margot Robbie!

Tom’s film journey began as an extra in the early Harry Potter movies. But he didn’t stop there. After a brief hiatus, he returned as a production runner for films like “Gambit” and “Rush.” From 2012 to 2016, he worked as an assistant director on various TV series and films, including “Pride,” “Suite Française,” and “Macbeth.”

Tom met Margot on the set of “Suite Française” in 2013, and sparks flew. They tied the knot in a private ceremony in Byron Bay, New South Wales, in December 2016. Margot and Tom’s professional collaboration is just as exciting as their personal journey.

Together, they co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014, alongside friends Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara. LuckyChap has been the driving force behind some of Hollywood’s recent hits:

“Barbie” (2023): The long-gestating Barbie movie became their passion project. Margot enlisted the brilliant Greta Gerwig to write the script. When they both read it, panic and excitement washed over them. The result? A $1.4 billion global box office success and a Best Picture nomination for both Margot and Tom as producersÂč.

“I, Tonya” (2017): This darkly comedic biopic about figure skater Tonya Harding showcased Margot’s acting prowess. Tom’s behind-the-scenes magic helped bring the film to life.

“Promising Young Woman” (2020): A thought-provoking thriller that tackled societal issues, this film was another joint effort. Margot’s performance and Tom’s production skills made it a standout.

Despite spending “24 hours a day” together, Margot and Tom maintain a healthy balance between work and play. Their love story isn’t just about romance; it’s about creative synergy. As Margot’s baby bump grows, so does their excitement for the future. We can’t wait to see this power couple conquer parenthood with the same passion they bring to the big screen!
